On September 27, at the 2024 World New Energy Vehicle Conference, BMW Group Director Gao Le shared BMW's insights on low-carbon transformation and global cooperation, and expressed optimism about the development prospects of China's new energy vehicle market. BMW adheres to the strategy of advancing multiple technology paths in parallel, and vigorously promotes the development and application of hydrogen technology while continuing to push forward with electrification.

"The low-carbon transformation of the automotive industry is by no means a one-day process, and the BMW Group firmly believes that 'technological openness' is the only sustainable path toward a carbon-neutral future, in order to meet the diverse needs of consumers in different markets around the world, and steadily promote personal mobility toward a green future." Gawler said.

BMW has more than 20 years of research and development experience with hydrogen fuel cell drive technology. BMW believes that hydrogen energy is an important part of realizing the zero-emission future of mobility, and will launch the first mass-produced hydrogen fuel cell high-end passenger car (FCEV) in 2028.

In BMW's view, both the development of hydrogen energy technology and the green transformation of the industry are inseparable from open innovation, multi-party cooperation and good partnerships.

In the Chinese market, BMW is collaborating with more than 450 suppliers and 600 dealer partners to actively promote green technology innovation and application practices in the automotive industry. In the field of battery technology, BMW has established strategic partnerships with leading companies such as Ningde Times and Yiwei Lithium Energy to create a win-win situation.

"As one of the important economic pillars, the automotive industry has a long industrial chain and far-reaching influence. In the green transformation of the industry, companies should pursue long-term, sustainable development." Gaole said, "BMW firmly believes that cooperation creates prosperity and growth, and multi-party cooperation should be a key force to address current and future challenges.
