EU Officials: Difficult To Reach Electric Vehicle Price Agreement With China Before End Of October

EU officials stated that it is unlikely to reach an agreement with China on electric vehicle prices before the end of October. This news has drawn widespread attention, particularly against the backdrop of increasing competition in the global electric vehicle market.

According to EU officials, the two sides still have significant differences on key issues such as pricing and market access. Despite previous positive communications, the current negotiations are progressing slowly, and no substantial consensus has been reached.

Recently, the EU has expressed concerns about China's pricing policies for electric vehicles, arguing that Chinese-made electric vehicles have a significant price advantage, which could pose a threat to European manufacturers. In response, the EU has taken steps to promote dialogue with China, aiming to create a fair competitive market environment.

Experts point out that if negotiations do not make progress in the short term, the EU may adopt tougher trade measures, potentially exacerbating tensions between China and Europe.
